On “Lincoln,” one of our early conversations with director Steven Spielberg pointed out that international audiences were not as aware of the man’s importance as the US audience. We suggested re-creating the opening of the film, with a narrative and visuals that would blend seamlessly into the tone while setting up the stakes for an international audience. We created the opening for the film with Steven and the result is something we are very proud of—and the piece itself is available on demand.
